Fused Glass

Each piece of handcrafted fused glass is designed using fusible, compatable glass including dicroic glass in some pieces. Sometimes other materials -- such as metalic foils, decals, paints, inks or specially treated paper -- are added to create a unique design. These items are fused together in a glass-fusing kiln for several hours. Temperatures are ramped up gradually until they reach approximately 1500 degrees fahrenheit (+ or - as needed) then gradually cooled down to room temperature. A second firing is done if glass will be slumped into molds (such as Sushi Dishes) or draped over a mold (such as vases).
Each is one-of-a-kind. Food-safe, but not safe for the dishwasher or microwave.

Fused Glass Pendants are primarily made from Dichroic Glass combined with compatible glass. Some are made with metallic foil or glassworks fusible paper, gold leaf, etc. Bails are silver or gold plated. There are a variety of ways to wear them with ribbons, cords, or your own chain, etc.

Fused Recycled Glass Cheese or Snack Plates can be made from Wine, Champagne, Beer or other Bottles depending on what is available. Many types of bottles can also be fused or slumped into a variety of uses including soap dishes, snack dishes, spoon rests & decor. Some fused bottles may be etched depending on the shape or size.
